After their latest drunken stunt playing chicken with a speeding train, Cassie and Renee wind up in a clinic for attempted teen suicide victims.
None of the teen patients are a bit happy about spending a month in lock-down. Among the mix are a prissy valedictorian, goth-girl, the 'perv', and a religious fanatic.
Romances bloom, tempers flair, and it soon becomes clear that some of the patients are not what they seem.
Brooke is a compulsive liar who discovers an identity theft scam happening from within the facility, but no one believes her. The teens come face-to-face with their past as Brooke tries to save their futures. |

"Bittersweet Lies"
Director Statement: Teen suicide is on the rise in 2008. This movie explores the
personalities and motivations of troubled teens that is very contemporary. It is
full of quirky characters and follows them as they sometimes bond but usually clash
with each other. It was important to us to create a movie that was entertaining and
not "preachy". |
 |
Production Notes: This movie was shot on location at several very realistic
institutions. We carefully chose very real, passionate teens that added a dose of
reality (and humor) to the movie.
